The Rochdale Vision
As part of the wider Stretford Masterplan, a new Vision for Stretford was created in collaboration with the local community. This Vision, to [relimagine a high-quality town centre, is built around four key themes:
Re-discover the streets
At the heart of the project is a commitment to nurturing a vibrant, thriving community. The design encourages interaction between existing residents and future neighbours through welcoming public spaces, food and drink venues, retail and other opportunities for social connection.
Re-connect Stretford
has long been disconnected because of the Mall, Kingsway and Chester Road. The Masterplan addresses this by re-establishing connections, creating a strong axis that ties the town’s key assets back together.
