Design in Details
This Wilmslow residence was delivered as a whole house design set within a mature landscape setting; a project defined by long views, privacy, and a strong relationship between interior living and the garden. The client appointed Muse Architects to develop and deliver a rear extension that added meaningful amenity while preserving the calm character of the plot, including a generous swimming pool positioned beneath the garden level to keep the external setting open and uncluttered.
From the outset, our focus was clarity and deliverability. Spatial options and structural logic were tested early; levels and access were coordinated; and the layout was refined to support everyday living as well as hosting. The pool suite was planned as a destination space rather than an add on; with controlled daylight, coordinated ventilation routes, and discreet servicing zones to support maintenance and long-term operation; aligned through technical design and specialist input.

Incredible Result
The architectural language remained quiet and confident; grounded forms, strong proportions, and a restrained material approach that sat comfortably against the existing house and surrounding greenery. Large openings were positioned to frame views and draw daylight deep into the plan, while maintaining privacy and a measured external presence. The extension read as a sequence of connected rooms; moving from internal living to sheltered thresholds and then out to the wider landscape.
CGI visuals were used throughout to communicate massing, atmosphere, and the garden relationship at key decision points; supporting alignment across the client team and build partners. The project demanded careful coordination across disciplines; with design, approvals, and delivery strategy progressed in step to maintain momentum.
The scheme was completed with the design intent translated into coordinated construction information and executed on site through collaborative delivery. This portfolio summary is indicative only; it does not constitute advice and should not be relied upon by third parties
